Motor problems would be the first thing that comes to mind with a howling sound. Either armature or bearings. Just a thought |

Did it always do this? The motor should speed up when suction is blocked and an increase in noise is quite normal. |

Do you mean there IS an incorrect way to install the bag? I noticed that the front of the bag (the cardboard part) seemed to be pulled in after installing but didn't think anything of it. |

I'll try that tonight when I get home. Maybe I should put the bag on the inlet part and then put it in the bag compartment to make sure it is seated correctly??? |

Replacing the filter should make quite a bit of difference. |
