I think that I remember seeing a tool conversion for the Kirby that looked like the front tool conversion kit for the hoover convertible. A convertor that attaches to the bottom of the rug nozzle on a Kirby. Does anyone know if one of these exists?

Nope, have never heard of anything like that. Kirby does, or at least used to provide a felt pad that would snap on the bottom of the Kirby rug plate(bottom of the rug nozzle)to "Buff" bare floors with.
Could that be what your thinking of?
