I've been told the original Classic 1CR/Classic III 2CB Sani Emtor body (180069) will not quite fit on the Heritage II to Legend II models because of a slight difference in the neck (especially the 1CR/1CB ones) and because of the connecting lugs on the fan case that may cause it to be "stuck" when used on these particular machines. I know the rear wheel axle variations on HII/LII machines with the Mini Emtor is one thing, but the neck design of the original Classic Emtor vs. the Tradition style is all new to me. Has this ever happened to you?
If that's the case, then I think that the 179978S Emtor body used on the Tradition (the first Kirby to feature a disposable bag system) has its connecting openings machined a little differently in order to interchange between the Classic and the Legend II. I do know one thing: the Emtor connecting lugs were the same (100656) from the 516 to the Heritage I; Kirby revised them for the Heritage II (100684). ~Ben This post was last edited 03/25/2016 at 21:43 |
