 .... a collection of vacuum cleaners. Since I have moved to Florida permanently I have less room to store/display my vacs. Florida homes do not have basements. Had to be a bit inventive. Here are some of my collection vacs. You never know where a vacuum is going to show up in this house. And there are more coming as soon as my organ and other possessions arrive. | ||

wow You even color-coordinated them! Green Hoover on green wall... Blue Hoover on blue wall, etc. Nifty! Good luck on stashing the collection... Most of my closets are full of vacuums, so I know the feeling! | ||

 The color coordinated scheme is good. Add in some similar colored candles and dried flowers.... perfect. I'm thinking of building some large shelves type units with large wheels, so I can move the displays around, if need be. Something with slanted shelves, kind of like a big magazine rack. I don't want the vacs sitting some place they could get bumped, scratched, extra dirty, or will regularly have the sun shine on them. I've seen vacs, and other appliances, that have white or beige parts that have faded because of exposure to sun daily. | ||

Very Creative Greg!
I house a few of my favorite units in my bedroom closet!! There is also always one on display in my bedroom. Currently it's my Convertible!
I love the idea of putting some on top of the kitchen cabinets!! Isn't it great having a vacuum in each room, just about!! I hope you're enjoying Florida. I'll be so happy for you when ALL of your possessions arrive. That includes resolving the missing ones!!! Best of luck with everything Greg!! Here's some photos I took the other night when I was vacuuming with my Hoover Dimension 1000. There are "Jealous Spies" in my bedroom closet, wanting use! Sometimes 2 reside sitting out in the bedroom like in the 4th photo. | ||

A central vac.
I used to have one way back in 1995, and loved it, but I get a lot of fun using my vintage machines. The Electrolux model LX is the very one that interested me in 1952, and the Kirby Classic III was the first Kirby I bought new in 1976.
So while I'm seriously considering a central vac, I don't want to stop using my trusty friends, or banish them to a closet either. | ||

Adam and Evan
Installed a dual motor HP Vac U Flo commercial model central vacuum into our recently purchased home. Donnie loves it, and uses it a lot. We have three 'flaps' in the house, one in the garage, a Wally Flex in the laundry room, a Wally Flex over the work bench in the garage, a VROOM under the kitchen sink, and a Vac Pan in the baseboard in the kitchen. Evan is installing a Hide A Hose in the hallway for surface cleaning in the office, which also contains the litter box for the two cats. Our entire home is 'wired' for a central vacuum system. Evan also put a 'cherry bomb' car muffler in the exhaust system, since the two motors make a roar like a tornado siren. Now, it sounds like a dryer outside my house. For someone who used to consider central vacuums to be little more than an old General Electric Swivel Top strapped onto the wall, and piped into the house, I now have a very complete system that we both are extremely delighted with. Evan Rogers, Owen Perkins, and Evan Strittmatter (experts in Central Vacuums)have managed to convince myself and Donnie that Central Sweeping Systems are the way to go - we love our system and wouldn't change it for the world. Our system pulls more than 110 inches of lift, buries the Baird Meter for air flow, and outcleans every other machine I own. We use ours with a 35 foot, direct connect, Riccar brand Premium Power Nozzle kit. The nozzle has the three row brush roller, dirt sensor light, quick disconnect telescopic wand, and even came with a mini electric power nozzle. The ultimate in cleaning.
