So, I have 2 of the 3 types of Lux Sheaths, and 3 sheaths. a 1205 sheath, a Silverado Sheath, and a Diamond Jubilee Sheath (Sheath used 1977-1992). Is the Super J (sheath used 1974-77) sheath better, worse, or as good as the later sheaths. i dont like the later ones only because my release tabs on the lower wand like to get stuck and i have to jam a thin screwdriver around the release button. Here are my Sheaths, as well as a Super J ad showing the other type of sheath

I prefer the Canadian version, which is a telescopic wand. I use it every day on my Lux '89.

Hmm, i guess i forgot about those! i would like to have one, but they are so easily broken! I must have been thinking only of the Americana Sheaths since, well I am used to American Lux

Anything is easily broken if you don't use care :-) I use mine every day and so far not a problem.

I have a telescoping sheath that came with my 1205 and a two-piece version that came with a PN5 that I got to use with my Super J. I've since replaced the PN5 with a PN2 that I like much, much better, but that's getting off the subject. As to the wands, I see no difference in performance but I prefer the telescoping version simply as a matter of convenience. When I put the 1205 away, I can simply collapse the wand and leave everything connected for easy use the next time. With the two-piece wand, I have to disconnect and disassemble things to put it away, which means a little extra work both at the beginning and at the end of the process.
