The generic hose won't work with the sidekick REALLY ????

As to where to buy hoses, funny thing there are places called stores. These wonderful places sell all kinds of things. There are stores that sell nothing but Aerus products and parts for older Electrolux models. There is even something called a phone book that lists where these wonderful stores are located along with a phone number that you can call (remember calling someone? it was what people did before TEXTING and what some of us STILL DO).

The Electrical connector doesn't match up in the generic hose to sidekick. Im not honestly sure where our local Aerus Dealer is, and my vacuum shop in town wants way too much money for any part (I.E. they said a part was $70 when it was only $25 at sears...). I will see if we have the Aerus Dealer in our phone book. I try to make calls when i can but im so busy all the time i only have time to text a good most of the time. The only way my SideKick fits on the generic hose is if i put it on my lower sheath wand and use my 1205 sheath cord to fill the gap (it works, believe it or not)
(also, please pardon the messy spare bedroom)

Hoses

Get on the Aerus website and find their ordering number. I have called to order genuine supplies (including hoses) in the past. Their service is stellar and shipping is super fast. If I remember correctly, the pigtail hose I ordered forms hem was cheaper than the direct connect one for later models. I believe the pigtail hose was around $100. I have never bought a genuine hose for the later plastic bodies (i.e. diplomat) machines.

Thanks! I found those hoses at a Local Vacuum shop a few towns over, and they are not only genuine, but are cheaper than at Aerus! Im hoping to pick those up next week.
