here are a few picks of a vax 6131 in normal everyday vacuuming mode. this was another vac the neighbours gave to me because they know I am in to all this stuff. for some reason they decided to put black paper round the bucket even though they only used it once before giving it to me. I have had this machine myself for about 4 years now.

I saw one in a thrift store over here a few weeks ago. I should have gotten it.

vax 6131

your right!!! you should have bought it when they were new they were about 150.00 but since the vax 6131-T is taking over you can buy them brand new now for about 85.00. if you want a vax 6131-T brand new that can set you back 150.00 to 200.00

I already got one

I already got one (cost me £89-99 a few months ago) because frankly I miss the capacity, the long hose, the long cable, the variable suction control dial and the wash principle. I also treated myself to the Spin Scrub brush which is a heck of a lot easier than the suction only wash head that comes with it.

I also added a Wessel Werk floor head, similar to the SEBO Kombi Comfort Pro and Miele's original single pedal AirTeq floor head plus other brands who are using the same design to fit the EU law, including Numatic AND I also replaced the fixed height suction tubes with telescopic ones. Brings the Vax up to a standard that I prefer and far easier to store. The dry dirt combi floor head Vax supply is a bit cheap in my opinion.

The Wessel Werk RD296 vs SEBO's one.

vax 6131

I have removed the black tape off my vax now. they are very good machines and I would recommend to anyone. pity these are the only bagged vacuums vax make anymore.

Agreed, they are a nice machine, sometimes simple is best. AKA the vacuum.
