Hey all,
Just picked this one up on eBay for an absolute song. I know very little about Eureka PowerTeam canisters besides the fact that they're extremely powerful, durable, and have one of the best power nozzles ever conceived. When would this model have been sold? Also, does anybody have a white upholstery tool for a Eureka canister? The one for my new one is missing. Below are a couple pics from the auction listing. I'll take more and post them when it gets here. |

Indeed a beautiful vac. I agree - early 1980's. The typeface is the new EUREKA logo without the flying "E" graphic, and it is before the company slanted or italicized the letters. The first Eurekas using this branding were the little Mighty Mites which came out in 1983 or 1984.
So sad that all of Eureka's white plastic tools from that era turn horribly yellow like the crevice tool on this one. Enjoy your new toy! |

Aside from only having the one set of rear wheels on the power nozzle, they are really nice power nozzles and very powerful canister vacs!!! I haven't tried the variable speed model yet but my green one is very powerful. I love using mine and I'm so sure that you will love yours!!
Congrats on a great, powerful, and pristine condition find!! |

Picked up the Eureka from the post office today. It really is like new. Runs perfectly and hardly a mark on it. Only thing missing is the upholstery tool.
You can see my Sanitaire Blue Line sulking in the background of the third picture. It's worried that it's been replaced. Have no fear, I'm still an upright person. It's just nice to have a variety of cleaners around. |
