Hello I have just bought a Stark/Royal 801. I was wondering which way the spring on the bottom of the Rite Hite knob goes on. Another question is how do I put the spring that holds the handle upright on. Any information would help. Thanks!

Zach,

Could you please upload pictures of your machine, so that I would be able to know how old it is?

If you say this is a model 801, then if it were like a 1973 model it would likely be a model 6-801 with a serial of 37B-A-83913.

Thank you,

Ben

Here are some pictures. I am in the process of reassembling it. The model number is 4-801.

Zach,

Then your cleaner was made in late 1971/early 1972.
