As you may know, I have posted in previous threads about my new Rainbow D4C. Now, It is having problems. Every time I turn it on, I have to switch on and off 2 or more times. I think it is the wiring that has screws that hold them down, and I think they need to be tightened, I don't know.... But, is this common with the D4's? I am not exactly sure.

Power switches go bad after almost thirty years. Just get a new switch and install it. They are very inexpensive

The D4C and D4C SE power switches don't have screws for the wires. The wires are just pushed into the switch. To get the wires out you have to poke something in next to the wire to release the grips. Yesterday I replaced the cord on my D4C SE with a new one, which took all of about 8 minutes at the most.

I would agree that your switch may be going bad. They're really easy to replace.

I forgot to mention some of the D4Cs have the replacement switch with the 4 wire leads. In that case you would just undo the wire nuts, pull out the old switch and replace it with the new one.

By the way Rainbow part # R2728 if you need that.
