It's $99 and exclusive to Walmart. Seems like a good deal! Looks like Shark has some competition now ;)

It looks quite good. What would worry me is the amount of hot air that comes out the top and the initial weight of the motor. I know from experience with my old mains corded Black and Decker hand held that has the similar tube set up and combi suction floor tool that its a bit of a hand roaster.
I think the owners may well get fed up in time with the top heavy weight of the motor, such is the case with a lot of these vacs on the market that also have a cord. How many more years do home owners have to wait until a Hybrid comes onto the market with cord and cordless power built in...? |

Is this the Black and Decker you're talking about? I've had it for like 12 years and have only used it a couple times. It is very loud and over heats and shuts off after using it for 5 minutes. And it's filter clogs up very quickly.

Nope, its the model after that. The VH900GB. Mine doesn't shut off but it is fitted with a cyclonic chamber and separate HEPA grid filter.

Ralph123, I have never tried a Rainbow, although I would like one. It's on the list of vacuum's that I will be getting once I am out of school and get my student loans paid off. Until then $200 is the most I will pay for a vacuum right now.
About 5 years ago I found one that was barely used for $50 at an estate sale. I wish I would've gotten it. |
