Ok So I have made friends with our Kirby distributer in Cape Town. We now have a deal. I swap him g series models for olde ones So off went a g3 and in came a 509

Thanks Guys. Dan the g3 wasthe firts kirby I ever worked on. While they are ok they are my least favorite of kirbys along with the fist sentria.s. I do love my g5 and may possibly get a g6 if i find a nice one.
I got this Legend II the other day. I forgot to take before pics of it but it was nasty. The only thing I still need to get is tge screw cover plate for the belt lifter |

With its hose on and with the polisher head on. I do wish they had not painted the polisher head

With my Herritage II. Although at the time they could not afford it my parents organized a Kirby Demo for me as a present with a friend who was a kirby salesman. That was with a Herritage II

Ben I think the legend II ran for allot longer here in Sa than in the Usa I have seen some stamped 91 and 92 as the g3 was only launched in late 93 in 220v markets. Even with an extra 2 years development the g3 was still a problematic machine here. Later 92 model Legend II's even had the g3 style floor tool for the attachments.
