I have a Miracle Mate Platinum Unit that worked amazingly. Recently, it started blowing the fuses in the house, so I brought it in for repair. The store owner had never seen a Miracle Mate, but agreed to look at it. He was unable to get very far because he was couldn't figure out how to open the motor housing and didn't want to break it. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? These units are similar to the TriStar units.
Thank you for input.

what a coincidence! I too have a Miracle Mate Platinum that has motor problems. Mine has hardly been used, and I think somebody picked up water with it because it runs has good suction but sounds like the bearings are going to explode. I tried to take it apart to see if I could put some grease in those bearings, but I couldn't figure out how to get it apart either..... HELP Please!!!!

Thanks for your input kirbykid. I had barely used my vacuum, as well. It has really good suction, but then sounded as if it was about ready to explode and would blow the houses fuses. I tried contacting Miracle Mate via e-mail to ask where the nearest authorized repair shop is and I haven't heard back. I really like my vacuum and want to repair it.
I have a store in Springfield. I'm at 3043 E Sunshine. I think I remember something about how to get these open. If you bring it to me, I can take a look at it for you. My hours are 10:30-6:30 M-F and 9-3 on Sat.
