I'm so glad it arrived quickly and that you're happy with it. I LOVE the new color line for 2014. Enjoy it in good health. If you ever find yourself in Missouri, please stop by the Vacuum Cleaner Museum/Factory Outlet Store. I'll take you upstairs into the factory and introduce you to the people on the assembly line who made your vacuum. It's a fascinating process to see, from injection molding through painting, subassembly, all the way through final assembly.

Just curious, will the lifetime belt work with the older machines like the Simplicity 7 series? |

A lifetime belt is similar in design to the Kenmore Whisperbelt power nozzles. There is a GEAR on the motor shaft, for the belt to run on. There are grooves in the brush roller pully to mate up with the belt. There is a Hall Sensor to count the revolutions, and when they are down to 1000, the motor shuts off. Unfortunately, you can't retrofit older machines to use the lifetime belt.
