1964, Model G (tan)--most are in agreement that the copyright year had not been changed from the last edition of the aqua Model G manual, as general consensus is that the tan version debuted in 1967: |

1960, Model R--interestingly, the power nozzle cord receptacle was located on the side as opposed to the first Model G's front receptacle; plastic cord and hose clips: |

steel bodied machines were sold door to door. That means the 1521 was sold door to door. The only cleaners not sold door to door were the Special Edition models and the models they sold in the stores for that short period. |

far as the lettering was done, that was advertising, the company people in charge of giving change. Who really knows. The grunts that sell or sold wouldn't know. |

and styles may remain the same , it's what minor changes are made that changes. Some we see , some we don't. The same as a car or anything else that is produced. Every change is to improve the product. |

1951 Users' Home Maintenance Guide (these must have been updated annually as now we have the 1950, 1951, and 1953 versions). The only text change I have noticed on the cover is the number next to New York. I wonder if that was a phone number? |

Yep,,that proves it! I once asked an old old Electrolux salesman who had been selling at least 50 years, what was meant by Electrolux "DELUXE" vacuum cleaner. He said the "Deluxe" means WITH POWER NOZZLE.
Evidently left over term from the days of the Model A/E and forward where the PN was an optional attachment and was sold seperate from the machine,,and the PN, and/or PN hose didnt come in the same box. I remember a lady down the street from us in the early 1970s that had a 1205 with no PN. Just the standard hose, wands and flip over floor/rug tool. I remember thinking that was odd. Didnt understand they probablly couldnt afford the PN and PN hose. |
