I have the E2 Gold 2 speed with acoustic foam bought new in Summer 2006. It had actually been a couple of months since I used it...Normally I'm a neat/clean freak but let things go the past couple of weeks. Tuesday I broke the Rainbow out and spent 5 hours cleaning everything and God what it pulled up. It's crazy how super clean everything feels when you've used it to clean everything top to bottom. But it's exhausting! (not because I find it heavy, but just feeling like since it's out, I might as well get EVERTYTHING (not just a quick run through) Sometimes I DREAD getting out it because when I do, I can't stop and I tell myself, "since I have it out, I might as well get "this area" or "that area" and it ends up becoming this HUGE job........But in the end, it's worth it to me.....I would LOVE to upgrade to the Black Rainbow, but I won't as long as I'm pretty happy with this one. I also upgraded my hose a while back so I can use the Aquamate 3....Soon I will have to wash my carpets ...I did once already and it cleaned them great :)

fandb22, I may not be using my storage rack as it was designed. I like all the "parts" and hose on the rack and the power nozzle and wands stand by themselves. It can store the Rainbowjet and all the tools. |

I don't know, but I don't think so.....
Thank GOD it was clean water.........I "almost" did the same thing once but caught myself. Make sure to rinse the hepa and shake all the water out really good, then put the hepa back on the machine, and turn it on high and let the machine run for 20 to 30 minutes and the hepa will be dry as a bone and probably everything else that got water in it (hopefully). I think the motor is protected somehow by water......and I think all the metal parts are stainless? Not sure. I've told this story before. But before I purchased the 14 foot non electric hose, I was using the standard hose to get a really high place, holding the rainbow and the wand cleaning up high while I was on a ladder. I lost my balance and fell and landed on the floor with the rainbow running...I took the brunt of the fall. Nothing broke and water didn't leak or get into anything luckily. |

I absolutely love my black Rainbow. I use all of the peripherals: the RainJet, the MiniJet, the AquaMate, and I have a SuperMop attachment for the RainJet on its way, may arrive this week. I keep all of my hard floors and upholstered furniture clean with thia vacuum and don't ever plan to be without one again.

Not that expensive of a lesson.
I find this is the best place to get Rainbow replacement Hepa filters. I'm not 100 percent sure, but I do not think Rexair makes their OWN hepa filters, but I read this company makes their hepa filters for them? I could be wrong, but I remember reading this somewhere. At any rate, this is a generic but seems to be high quality. CLICK HERE TO GO TO mark40511's LINK |
