I just got this today for use on getting up the dog fur from upholstery, and the car interior. As a hand-vac it's fantastic, however, the suction from the attached hose is not, and yes, I did turn the nozzle cover to transfer suction. An I doing anything wrong? is there perhaps packing material between the hose and power unit that I failed to remove? I really liked the standard Dirt Devil, with standard attachments.
Please let me know,
Alex Taber. |

Good to know, I thought I was doing something wrong, or that there was packing material in the hose. But, there's no way to remove that hose. On the old style, the hose clipped into the front of the nozzle and there was great suction. It also came with an extension wand, and dusting brush.
I'll keep this for getting the dog fur on the car seats, and everywhere else she sits, as it's great for that, and use my Kirby Classic 111, or Electrolux LX, for above the floor cleaning and hardwood floors.
Yes, you're right, it is loud! but gets into places in the car that the Kirby nozzle is too big to reach. Thanks for sharing, and have a great holiday season, Alex Taber.
