Advice please: Just discovered that my 516 beltlifter has 2 broken tabs that hold the red plastic front to the metal disc at the back. I think this is caused by a crazy stiff belt that is sold for the 500 series, but then the plastic was old anyway. I can probably find a belt lifter one of these days, but what to do with these stiff belts?

Well, my recommendation is to buy the soft 159056 belt if you think you're having that much trouble. Give Kirby a call at 1-800-437-7170 and ask them your issue.

Use a broke-in Kirby shampooer belt.
