Hi just had a question I have a Hoover model 63 brush roll I am rebuilding and need to know if anyone knows a good way to get a ceased bearing out of the bearing seat? If not does anyone have a spare please look at the pics and let me know this end is alot different than a conventional convertible end. Thanks I have tried everything possible to get it out my last option is to try to soak it in some cola to see it that will eat away the rust on the inside.

take the metal rod that runs through the middle of the roller put on one of the end caps then put the other end through the bearing then bang the end with the cap on with a bit of scrap wood works everytime for me

I have!!!

The same problem with a Dial A Matic!! I tried pressing it out but it flew into a million pieces, little ball bearings everywhere, for some reason I have lots of trouble working on Hoovers. Kirbys and Eurekas, and any tank or canister, no problem, I can even work on a Rainbow or a 200 Filter Queen, but something as simple as a Convertible...no way!
