Looks to be a maroon color. It was top of the line, but not an 80th anniversary edition. This looks like a nice machine though.

The 80th anniversary model had a grey/tan stripey bag

Hoover 80th edition

My grandfather had the hoover 80th edition man were they good still runs too. I am going to see if I can get it from my dad when I go see him during the year.
