What, in your opinion, is the most elegant looking Kirby of all time?
In my opinion, the Tradition 3CB is the most elegant in appearance, with its blue vs. shiny metal combination. Blue vs. shiny aluminum go together luxuriously! Note the "marbleized" appearance of the blue on the upright handle fork. |

I find the Tradition a beauty to look at, but I think the most elegant one has to be the Classic Omega, with its wood veneer effect handle. Very classy. . |

Any model from the late 500-series (516-561). The cherry-red trim and accessories are beautiful. I hope the new model has this color scheme. |

For me, it's the Model 560 & 561. Here's a YouTube video (see link) of a 560 that I restored a couple of years ago. I could only hand-buff the housing but it still came out really shiny. btw, when you load the Video, if you click the little cogged-wheel icon just under the video preview window on the right side, you can change the resolution to 720P-HD for a much sharper and better-sounding video. And yes, that's me playing the organ! :) CLICK HERE TO GO TO Electrolux137's LINK |

I would have to go with the Omega, I think it is the richest looking Kirby, the rosewood color is very elegant. |

I have to agree with the Omega, then followed by the D80. I bet you could make a custom Kirby that could be even more elegant. |

I think has an interesting and most bygone beauty of all the bag designs offered by Kirby throughout the years. I like how the linear lines of its cast aluminum body gives way to symmetric curves - with no edges, nor borders. It triune tag mimics its frontal nozzle construct in proper proportion and shape. Its low gentle profile is simple, but yet masterful. In total overall appearance, it is the vacuum I most love, but again, I love all Kirbysss.

the 560 or the D50, I have never been a fan of the wide head Kirbys. |

I'd say either the Classic III or a 500 Series rebuilt in tan. |

I say the sanitronic 50 by far... Love the handle design and Kirby logo that lights up. Correct me if I'm wrong in saying that is the only Kirby to have the logo on the hood and have it light up too? |

The Handi-Butler is fun to use, and fine for flatware and hubby's golf clubs, but it doesn't have sufficient power or surface area to take on a Kirby. All it's going to to is swirl around the layer of tarnish and dirt.
You'd probably get better results hand-polishing with Mother's Mag Polish and then maybe doing a final run-over with the Handi-Butler to further buff up a shine. |

for this before, and a lot depends on the condition of the Kirby in question. If the machine is deeply scratched and / or pitted, then you are right. The butler doesn't have enough power to remove the deep scratches and pitting. My Omega, however, has been well cared for over the years and doesn't have any scratches or pitting to speak of. Wait until it is done. I think you'll be surprised. :-) |

The Ezee wasn't made by Scott and Fetzer. Scott and Fetzer hadn't even met each other yet when the Ezee was new. It was built by the Frantz Premier Company, the same company that made and sold Jim Kirby's first electric vacuum (the Frantz Premier) in 1911. I have no idea who the Ezee is even on Scott and Fetzer's timeline - doesn't anyone at Kirby today know that they didn't make it?
