I hate to be the

Bearer of bad news, but that hose wont fit a power tank, it will only fit the upright adapter, the attachments themselves are correct though.

Not to worried about the hose, I wanted the wands and the rest of the attachments more than the hose.

Great buy

You can always buy the correct adopter end piece for the new hose so it'll fit on your canister. Never the less. Great buy on the NEW set of attachments. Enjoy!

That is a great buy

Congrats!.  I personally would like to find the extra equipment kit for my 880.  Those appear to be few and far between.

Just curious as to what circled piece is.

Tthat' the adaptor you insert through the hole in the front of the rug nozzle. You hook the hose to the end of the adaptor.

That's what I thought, but I wanted to ask anyway. I should have the attachments Tuesday.

Look new! These have to be one of about the top 5 best att sets ever along with Elux and real AirWay and ??The UR set would have also included the black plastic belt lifter tool.

Extra Equipment Kit

hygiene903's profile picture
Joe, is this what you're looking for (bottom pic)? I was lucky to find one at a vac shop during the 2008 Convention. He only had one, and sold it to me for $25.00 if I remember right. Also bought the gray attachment set in the top pic at the same time.
And you're right, the Extra Equipment Kit, which includes the small bag, short handle, cord with inline switch, polisher brush, sprayer, and sample size can of Keyspray is hard to find. Don't think there were that many sold back in the day. And when I was selling Electro-Hygiene, the branch I worked out of didn't even pitch them, but we did always have a couple on hand at the shop in case a customer saw it in the instruction book and decided they wanted one. But in the days of the straight suction machines these parts were included in the attachment set, except of course, for the polisher brush.

Got One Of Those Too!

That's the model 980 Electro-Hygiene. It was a gift from a fellow collector and good friend who was downsizing and is in excellent condition. I only wish I could find the special hose adapter for it, then I could use the attachments from my 903 with it. Here's a pic of my 980.

The attachments arrived this past Wednesday, the hose did not fit. I'm going to hold on to the hose in case I get a Royal upright. I never realized how dirty the outside of the hose was that came with vacuum, so it got a bath Tuesday night, the water was yucky! Must have been just as dirty on the inside.

Electric hose?

Looks like you have an electrifies hose but I see a cord strapped to the outside. Did the internal wiring burn out or just the pigtail cord?

I had to do that with one of my Royal tanks. The hose shorted out but still looks good.

There is a short somewhere in the hose. There was a metal hose clamp covered with black electrical tape on the hose when I brought it home. Well curiosity got the best of me, so I took the tape and clamp off thought maybe there was a hole in the hose, but there was nothing, evidently the clamp was for the short in the hose. I never put the clamp back on I forgot where it was on the hose, I did a little creative rewiring. Maybe someday I will find a new hose for it that doesn't cost an arm and leg.

The hoses for these Power Tanks are becoming very hard to find. I took me over a year to find one for my Power Tank, and even then it didn't quite match the original. It was the same color and had the same controls, but was only 6ft long instead of 7.5 ft long. I paid quite dearly for mine too.
