Hello Vacuumland,

I have been very interested in these new machines and have always wanted a conquest. I like the huge Type A red bag, the general aesthetics, etc. and I know they are now made in China, but is the motor and the general chassis the same as the older black and orange models? I noticed that there is a major price gap between the older orange/black and newer red model. Any ones insight would be greatly appreciated. I know they are still a quality machine by today's standards even if they have been, "cheapened down", for cost efficiency, but I will look for an older model if the motor, chassis, etc. has been changed. Thanks everyone and Happy New Year!

I love them however the switch is a flaw in my opinion, so don't be surprised if you have to replace it in about 5 years but that's no big deal. One of the best vacuums I have even owned!!!

my sister got me a conquest for my collection. I love it. good power. I like the scrap trap so large objects don't damage the fan. mine has the paper bag too help with air quality.
