thought I'd share this baby with you. Snatched it from ebay for some ridiculous 30 bucks plus P&P.
Seems hardly used at all (or well cleaned). The "pull" is tremendous as is the vibration and groom of the PN. The mini tools haven't seen any surface yet.

Here is my question: The only drawback is, they must have sucked up some terribly nasty perfume or eau de toilette, the stink is unbearable. Can I wash the cloth bag and the pleated suction filter? I would love to do the whole house with it, but had to stop after one room due to this heavy smell. Any advice is welcome.
Thank you.

The cloth bag should be washable,Try Hand-Washing it in a sink with mild Dish Detergent. If that doesn't help,Try putting in a washing machine on gentle with light detergent.

Was genau hast du meinst "nailpolish ist oft ein Zeichen für un-Zuverlässigkeit" in einem früheren Post?

for a tristar style machine $30 is a great deal they always have great power to them. I'm curious about that nozzle though who makes it? i've seen i've seen something very similar on an Emer.

If washing the cloth bag doesn't work-would suggest replacing it--same with the internal HEPA filter over the motor intake. The Vortech website sells these parts.A new one may be the best bet.I do that with any vertical bag canister I get that was used.

thanks guys!

This is really a lot of information. I will try washing them both, alternatively try to get new ones (which is hard here, the distributors are all off, out, away, so VT is at its cardiac attack in Germany). We used to have a couple of dozens in the 80s and 90s, but ACH! so long ago...

Supersweeper, I remember having said that, but I do not remember when and in which context. Could you give me a hint? (or a link).
Your German is surprisingly good, don't worry about that, it dawned me only on the second read that I was actually in an English spoken thread and that I myself would have put "un-Zuverlässigkeit" rather as "Unzuverlässigkeit" but that was about it (meaning that I actually have skipped "was genau hast du meinst" (I automatically read it for "was genau meinst du" just as usual).

But I must see the other thread to answer this question correctly.

Thanks all!

Vortech Force has used a couple of different power nozzles, but I believe the one depicted is a Wesselwerk.

Vortech Force parts are difficult to obtain in the US, too. The North American distributor is located in Canada. Calling and email are not always succesful.

Vortech Force products are sold by independent distributors. You'd be surprised how expensive they are.

I cannot acess the thread,As it seems to be archived now,And since i am not an up-graded member,I can't access it.It was in a thread where a fellow member stated he had contacted Katy Perry,And you didn't seem to believe him,Stating that "Nailpolish is often a sign of un-reliability".
