Basic rule of thumb for 120V wiring is, everything in line. So a complete loop from one end to the other. From the Black wire to the White one. If you cross wires that's when you get a short and other nastys. |

Bill,
Could you please send me a PDF of that entire service manual to vintageben81@comcast.net or to benjamin.marioe1@gmail.com (use the latter address if you're having problems sending that to me via the first address listed)? I mean, does it cover up to and including the Sanitronic VII? Thank you, Ben (KirbyClassicIII) |

This service manual covers the 505 all the way to the 562 (Sanitronic). I think the only thing that really changed with the Sanitronic VII is the nozzle gasket. Kirby began using the nozzle gasket that is still in use today. Prior to that, it was a thinner gasket. I'm still on vacation, so I'll need to wait until I'm back in my office next week in order to use the industrial strength scanner there. This manual has over 100 pages. That's a lot of scanning for my little flat bed scanner. |
