To aid in your search for the problem, you can also get a schematic drawing of the Concept One from the Hesco Vacuum Cleaner parts website, which I believe is www.hescoinc.com... |

I would check the switch. Thoss flimsy slide switches went bad from time to time. |

Well yes, except they reverted back to a "dirty air" system. Classic case of three steps forward two steps back. Who knows what might have been had they kept the clean air design instead of selling the patent to Panasonic? I only wish roller brushes were still available. CWP makes an aftermarket brushroll for Convertibles, but not Concepts. Kind of odd since they ceased production around the same time.

I am curious about you comment about the flaws about the DAM. Apart from maybe the flexible pipe becoming blocked and perhaps a point of wear could not find much wrong with it. Over here they have a reputation of being weak around the handle mounting (not on any of mine though) and certainly mine seem a lot noisier than say a convertable but otherwise they seem good cleaners. I have a Concept 1 but I always preferred the DAM Al |
