I am just in the process of transferring the rest of my old VHS tapes onto dvd and at the start of one tape there was an old clip from Tomorrow's World with Howard Stableford vacuuming with a Hoover Turbopower 2 Autosense.

I had obviously missed the main feature and just caught the last few seconds but I completely forgot all about this. I expect I was frantically looking for a blank tape to use. Birds of a feather was on next, so I would have had a tape ready to record that, but I wouldn't have wanted to put something else on a tape that I was using exclusively to record whatever series of Birds was showing at that time.

I did manage to record most of the item featuring the talking Sensotronic, also featuring Howard, but until I saw this brief clip of the Turbopower, I had no idea that it was also featured on TW. I was surprised to see it to be honest and am wondering if the Turbopower was just used in an item about something else or was the item about the Turbopower. The only feature I can think that may have warranted a mention on Tomorrow's World would be the autosense function, but it was hardly state of the art.

Anyone remember seeing this on Tomorrow's World who can fill in some details?

Sorry...

I have never seen this.

I have seen the Talking Sensotronic, as well as Philippa Forrester and the Electrolux Trilobite.
