I have the manuals for the models F, G, and 1205. Let me know if anyone wants to see them and I will post them.
Also I would love to see the manual for a model R or L if anyone has one or both.
Thanks,
Nicholas

I have a manual for a model R around here somewhere. I'd love to see your model F manual. I think the F is the rarer of the manuals you have.

Please Post 'Em!

Yes, having those manuals available here would be a HUGE help to owners of those machines. In particular, the 1205 manual is a little hard to find, for some reason.

1205

Here's the 1205 manual. Sorry about the quality, the ink is light in person too.

Last page
I hope this was helpful even with the faded ink.
I'll get the other two up as soon as I can. Both of them have a lot more pages and are more fun to look at.
I'm waiting on the edge of my seat to so that model R manual. :)
Thanks,
Nicholas

You should also email those to Fred Nelson, then he could post them under the "Owners Manuals" tab on the homepage.

Hi, Constellation!

Thanks very much for posting this! One thing- Page 6 did not come through completely. The bottom of the page is not there. I've tried refreshing my browser, and that didn't work. Could you re-post that one page?

Tip to all members: If you have any kind of imaging software, such as Photoshop or Microsoft Photo Editor, these images can be adjusted to make the print darker. Use the Contrast control.

Again, thanks! Now, somebody- Model L? Pretty please?

Thanks for posting the 1205 owners manual. I have one of these machines, and it works so well. (Thanks Jimmy!) I am not a canister fan in general, but the Lux is so quiet that it is a pleasure to use. I do not have the power nozzle (nor do I need one), but the straight suction is great for my hardwood floors! Thanks again.

Glad you guys liked these. Page 6 seems fine on mine, but here it is again just in case. Sorry I'm not too savy with editing pictures. I'm not sure why the ink is so faded on this book. This manual is basically the same as the Super J, that can be found on the manuals section of the site.
I'll get to work on the older books, they are much more fun.

I just loaded the 1973 Model L manual in the manual section. Here it is. And here is my Model L. Just like new. Makes me want to go down and run that baby.

You know....

I've got a 1205, never really thought it to be a real "looker", but when you see it posing like you have it in your picture with the L and polisher, I makes me want to move mine up on the re-build list. Great collection!!!

It,

IT, I meant IT, not I makes me .... Good thing we can preview our threads before we post....

The 1205 in the photo is a very nice looking machine. I think it is mostly because of the textured body and the polished metal. It looks far superior to the 1205s that have the untextured bodys. I wonder when they switched to the later textured style? I don't see very many of them.

Oh, about that model R manual. I can't find it at the moment. Does anyone else have a copy? I only paid about $8.00 on ebay for mine so it can't be too rare. I'll keep looking but at this point it could be years before I find it. Chances are it's in the same place as all of my other missing paperwork.

Constellation86 and Fred N.

Constellation86,

Thanks for posting another wonderful instruction book. Fantastic!.

Fred,

That Model L, 1205 and buffer? are absolutely MINT. I mean they look absolutely pristine. How did I overlook them when I was in that room?! I guess I was so overwhelmed by the myriad of vacuums that my eyes just glazed over at some point. I may have mentioned that my grandmother had a Model G, but it was actually a 1205. She may have had a Model G at some point, but the vacuum I remember as a kid was a 1205. I was confusing the model numbers--showing my lack of vacuum knowledge. I'm learning.

And, yes Fred...

The list of vacuums that I want to add to my collection is growing very quickly. I guess I've caught the bug for sure!

Wow, THANKS!!

Dear Nicholas and Fred (or is it Nick and Fred?):

Thank you both VERY much for these scans! Being a new Model L owner, I wanted to have a manual for it. And though I've given up on 1205's for the moment, I'm never going to say never- maybe I'll try again someday. So, having a manual for one of those is great, too. I have all these saved, and I'll be burning them to CD for safekeeping.

Fred, you have the most immaculate collection! I thought my Lux PN-2 was well-polished, but the one I see in your photo beats mine by a mile. You have so many things I envy, especially that Maytag 906 pair and the KitchenAid KDS-15 in turquoise. I'm really happy so many nice things have found a great home with you.

Again, many thanks, guys.

Fred, is that a new polisher that matches the 1205, it is just beautiful!!!!
