Second one is a high quality Panasonic rebranded.

Haven't seen those. The first one kind of reminds me of a 2nd gen Whispertone style body. The second one looks like it may be the replacement to the yellow bagless canister they had recently, and seems to be discontinued.

Second One Is This

This is the second one - gets awesome reviews and probably would be my next purchase if I ever needed another machine (just have one, the superb Kenmore Magic Blue - incredible suction and overall great build quality)

I saw the blue bagless one a few days ago at sears.com. It looks like a perfect vacuum for most of my house. However, I will not stand for a non-cyclonic bagless vacuum. They will have to introduce a cyclonic or bagged version if they want my business.

I wonder if they new black one will be a replacement for the Magic Blue. It does not seem to include as many attachments as the Magic Blue. Notably the turbine nozzle. That cheap, generic floor nozzle is not a very good selling point.

I just went deeper into looking into the vacs, and found that they are both Pasnasonic! (like koobam and bagintheback said.)

Not without a Tri-Force

If you can find one with the Panasonic Platinum Tri-force motor this would be ok. Its basic motor thats in it suffers from early motor failure though according to reviews.
