The Hoover you speak of is.the Convertible.model 33 (1962-64), finished in dusky lavender and pearl white. To my knowledge, their were no other Hoover models with that color scheme. |

They made that cleaner in HER favorite color. I do believe that, even though the word HOOVER was NEVER spoken in either show, they were in there due to her. It was Americas's first look at the totally "new" cleaner, the DAM. Imagine HOOVER getting a free ad like that. Too bad they couldn't have sprung for a Convertible with a light for Agnes.

I loved Bewitched, Agnes was a hoot. I have the purple Convertible, it is my garage vac. Just broke the belt the other day. Thanks for the trivia! PS I heard that Lucy was also a fan of Sunbeam Moxmasters. Something else I collect. |

the Honeywell thermostat, the "cinnamon bun", Singer sewing machines. When we were at HOOVER Historical Society, we stood on the porch where they'd tell stories of Henry and the rest of them sitting on that porch. We heard "Bud" Hoover tell of Henry having pork chops with the HOOVERs , so casually speaking.
We also learned how Henry took his own life when he learned his beloved wife had terminal cancer. A shame to lose such a brilliant mind. What a legacy: he touched almost everything. |

Samantha didn't need the Power Drive DAM, her witchcraft drove the thing, lol! Perhaps that was the "inspiration" for Hoover to intro the PD in 1969, it was the 1st self propelled vacuum! |
