Hey guys, it me agian. Well I didn't have anything to do today, so I went to my local thrift store. There was'nt much there. A few cheap dirt devils from the 90's (the ones you find EVERYWHERE!) and a Kenmore bagless canister (The cheap-o one thats yellow and sucks NOT in the good way! :p) Anyway, after looking through most of the stuff they offered, and passing on all, I went to the furniture section of the store. Well lo and behold, I found a DC07 but without the Beater Brush, Handle, and Hose. So, I checked the price since it looked to be in sad condition, and it was 14.95!!! I was amazed at the price, especially since most of the prices at this particular(Only one thats close to me anyway!) thrift store were VERY expensive and over priced pieces of junk. I took it home, cleaned what I could, what was there anyway, and I looked on ebay to see the prices of the missing parts. Suprisingly, I found a used Hose, Beaterbar and Handle all for 17.93 (Different selers theough so no combined shipping :/) and they came in today, so that's why im posting this now! Works great! Pics to follow. Enjoy! :)

I have that exact model from a customer who brought one out from the USA changed the plug and simply plugged it into the standard 220v socket, boom !! he traded it for a new 25 and I fitted a new motor and kept it.

Great machine , still one of my favorite dysons and with that extra wide soul plate you guys are privileged to have its a mean cleaner

Gosh, I have one of those, or what remains of it in the basement.  I pulled it out of a trash bin a couple years ago purely out of curiosity because I had no experience with Dysons.  It had seen a lot of hard use, the brushes were worn down to nubs, and it wouldn't turn on, so I never did anything else with it and there it still sits, gathering cobwebs.  forgive my ignorance, but how does this model compare to the new ones on the market?  Is it worth trying to resurrect the one I have?

They have lots of suction!! The highest dyson offers, but it is a beast of a machine! Its such a shame the bristles on the brushbar arnt up to much..

@henry200 I have used the DC41 at my local Sears and it has just as much suction as the DC07, but like baglessball said, the brush bar is s***.

@baglessball I have been using a Dirt Devil Dynamite II, it's pretty good for a basic cheap-o vacuum, but obviously was'nt doing such a bang up job. I sometimes used the Windtunnel Air that I have, but I only used it 3 times on this carpet as I don't want to waste the Windtunnel Air/Mach Air Reach.
