Apparently, the original switch in the base had failed. Because somebody rigged a slider lamp switch on the cord. Is it possible to get another switch? I'm thinking about replacing the cord anyway. Did these come with attachments? I know the Kenmore versions did, by looking at the posts from the Sears catalogs on this site. This post was last edited 10/10/2011 at 16:58 |

Yes, I totally agree, Bobby. I remember reading your post some time ago. I also had the same Singer System pictured on the right, but I gave it Jason Huber. Now, I'm on the lookout for the Kenmore version.
Below is a link to a video that I found on Youtube. I think that the self-propelled version is cool! The bare floor attachment is neat! It reminds me of the Kirby hard surface plate.
