I don't buy new (meaning non-vintage) vacuums very often, but a close friend is SUCH a Sebo fanatic that he talked me into trying this. I have to admit that it took me a few times to appreciate the unique features that it has, but after a couple of months, I really like it.

I am a total upright person and this is sold as a canister that just happens to be upright. Using it as a canister is probably my least favorite aspect of this, which I will explain, but overall it is a nice cleaner and having it makes my life and cleaning easier.

Floor nozzle

It comes with this parquet floor brush that interchanges with the P/N. This does a nice job and I have gotten much better at switching out the PN with the brush, which is a little awkward at first. Actually, the PN, with the brush roll turned off, is also a very effective floor cleaner so using this brush is not even necessary if you don't have delicate hardwood floors.

Canister

This has great suction though, "above the floor" cleaning is my least favorite use of this machine. Because the hose is attached at the top of the unit, it is VERY prone to tipping over when the hose is extended. I believe they intend you to remove the floor nozzle and carry it by the handle for extended tool use, but it is HEAVY to carry for more than a couple minutes. And I am in reasonably decent shape. I cannot see an elderly user doing that.

My biggest gripe was that this comes standard with only the parquet floor brush, a crevice tool and an upolstery tool (non rotating) but NO dusting brush. I had to pay extra for that, which seems ridiculous to me. The color of the brush is different as they did not have one in stock that matched my unit's color scheme.

very Nimble

What I most love about this is how it swivels and I have found very few spaces that it cannot get between or under. It slides beautifully completely under the sofa and most furniture. It also twists into crevices or tight corners that very few other "uprights" can do.
