1951 the 48/49 had the filter cone and were sued by filter queen, they then came out with the paper bag version as to model, was called the *lewyt cleaner* until the *big wheel* came out |

Lewyt must have been lacks, in their updating of copyright dates. As they supposedly had issues with being sued themselves, for infringing; maybe they didn't give a rat's ass about updating theirs. I was offering an 'guestimate' based on what's on page 18 of Mark's pdf link. Most companies keep their copyrights up to date, even though they may 'recycle' the literature itself. No desire for a lot of knowledge on the 'others'; however, no one had assisted Mark by that time, so I threw a dart in the dark. ~~lol~~ Cheers & hagn all, Bill |

Hi Bill: If you look at the Lewyt books they tended to recycle the information and pictures only updating the items that had changed. The sheets that you refered to were a 4 page leaflet that came with the sprayer and, to my knowledge, were not updated during the entire run of the Lewyt machines as all but the first one used the same sprayer (although it was optional on the later machines) Doug |
