Does the two quart basin fit snug in the Dolley or is it suppose to lift out easy when the machine is lifted up by it's handle? As I recall my last D4-c the basin would not stay in the Dolley when the machine was lifted.

I believe they are supposed to fit snuggly, but over time the friction points wear where the basin is easily lifted with little resistance.

If it comes out to easily, the dolly is old- usually not a problem unless the machine tips over when pulled by the hose during use. A new dolly will rectify this problem.

The way it works is if you pick the machine up, the dolly is supposed to stay on the machine. To remove, just put one foot on a corner of the dolly and pull the machine up. The machine should separate from the dolly easily.
Make sure your dolly doesn't have any cracks in it. This is usually the cause of your problem.
