Last Saturday, when I stopped by the vacuum store in the town where my Mom lives, it was almost closing time. However, I walked away with some great finds (which I posted earlier), but didn't have much time to look because I didn't want to overstay my welcome. So I went back this morning and walked away with even more great stuff! More belt lifters, various new trim pieces, 1 brand new Sanitronic hose, 1 brand new late 500 series hose, 1 brand new (but incomplete) 500 series attachment set, some brand new handle forks for early and later 500 series, 1 complete used handle assembly for a Sanitronic, 2 handle forks for a D80, 2 brand new D80 handle grips, 1 brand new Classic (1CR) handle grip, 1 handle fork for a Classic (1CR), 1 brand new D80 headlight casting with trim, 1 brand new 1CR headlight casting with trim, and 1 used floor polisher for an early 500 series Kirby. AND BEST OF ALL, HE GAVE ME EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!

In addition to all the parts and attachments, he also gave me three more vacuums: 1 Classic (1CR), 1 Classic Omega, and 1 Model 561. The 1CR in the photo has trim from an Omega. Fortunately, I was able to get a handle fork with the original label, a new 1CR original handle grip, a new headlight casting with the correct trim. The bag is aftermarket, but it's in good shape. I hope I'll be able to find a belt lifter or at least the correct label (without the Omega symbol). The Classic Omega needs a new foot switch. But I mainly got it because the bag is in much better shape than the one my Mom gave me. If you look carefully at the 561, it has one of those aftermarket belt lifters. Fortunately, I have a couple or originals!!! It has one of those aftermarket F&G bag assemblies too (which I'll eventually change). He had several brand new Emtor castings, new nozzle castings -- a lot of stuff.

I stumbled on a huge treasure trove. The store owner was incredibly nice and was glad I showed up. He just told me to take whatever I wanted. I didn't want to seem TOO greedy but told him I would be back in November at Thanksgiving. I didn't take any of the new nozzle of Emtor castings but plan to do so in November. I did leave him my name and number and asked that he give me a call if he got any vintage models. He told me that, in the past, he's even gotten Model 505s that he just threw away! People drop by and ask if he will buy their Kirbys or the attachments. When he says NO, they often just give them to him. He has two rooms filled with mostly Classic series models. He also told me that his cousin owns a vacuum store in the town about 15 miles away. He also has a large room filled with vintage Kirbys. So guess where I'm headed at Thanksgiving!!!
