They have to be smokin' crack or something--those aren't model 5's, They are model XII's!

The one with the maroon leatherette is a model XII from 1933, and the one with the gray leatherette is a Model XII-A from 1935.

The maroon XII, which originally had a screw-in hose, has an aftermarket adapter for a standard click-in hose; the XII-A, the last version of the XII, came with the new click-in hose as standard equipment.

The maroon Model XII is missing the rear cover.

Neither is worth anywhere near $300.00.......

over priced

The seller does do some interesting work and I would not mind having one of his rebuilt Electrolux XXXs. But I agree with you Charles he is way over priced. A person’s time/money is worth something and it looks like he put a lot of work into his rebuilds but still he should come down a little on his prices.

I am not a big sports fan however I have to admire his creativity. My friend would just love the Dallas Cowboys Electrolux.

I do agree that his rebuilt machines are very nice, and the "sports models" is a whimsical touch. I wrote him one day and said so and he replied that he has gotten some "hate mail" about them! I also agree that they are worth what he's asking for them. I know how much work goes into making an old machine look that nice.

It's just these two grotty XIIs machine that I'm talking about.
