If they were that nice why wouldn't they bring that price, you can barely buy a crappy new plastic canister for that.

I don't get it, either. None of the photos show the underside of the machine, so I can't tell if it is a refurbished machine (most likely) or the last XXX from the factory in 1952-54.

If the bottom is painted dark gray, it's a refurbished machine. If the bottom is the same dark turquoise as the LX, it's factory original.

But even if it is a late XXX, I don't see why it's going so high given its overall condition.

But, then, there really is no rational accounting for why some machines get bid way up and some done. I've see what I would consider junk go for hundreds of dollars, whereas sometimes very nice, rare machines go for hardly anything.

I just hope the winning bidder enjoys it and isn't counting on reselling it at a profit.......

The handle tells the whole story

Just not sure who rebuilt it.

Is it just me or does the dusting brush look different? Take a close look at it.

The dusting brush is from a much older Electrolux -- either the first Model XXX from 1937, or maybe even a late Model XII.
