I don't know much about this. I know it's a later model, which is evident in the Turbopower logo style and the switching being on the top of the bag box rather than the back of the handle, but I don't remember seeing these around at all, only the earlier version.

Love how the red one matches her outfit.

Hmmmm odd how its got the same model number.

Id guess its a catalogue exclusive or indeed last of the run where cost was cut with the on/off switch being on the bag box.

What does it date to? use the same formula you learnt on DOM.

Failing that lets see her serial number.

It has the same model number as out earlier versions.

She's have a clean up, and the brushroll replaced and should be as good as new :)

We had exactly the same vacuum when we was growing up at my parents house, it was the turbopower plus and same colour bought from Argos.

5 yr guarantee, whats the guarantee on hoovers today?

It ended up not being able to stand up as the trunion had broken.

I don't think there is a standard guarantee on Hoover today, Rich. It's a brilliant vacuum, but in typical Turbopower tradition, it's a big flimsy.

This is my absolute FAVEOURITE Turbopower Totoal System!
I do have one but it has seen better days, I hope to get my hands on another one and then keep the other for spares.
The one I have already is actually in really good condition, no scratches, aside from it needing a new motor and back body it's fine!! :P It does have all of it's tools and the cord hook! these usually broke.

Hi George...

alexhoovers94's profile picture
My U2602 has a snapped off carbon brush door and bizzarley, the armature is bent, it is only VERY slightly bent but is enough to make it sound like a World War ll airraid siren!! It is very possible that it has always been like that since the moment it came out the box, as we all know that Hoover churned out thousands of Turbopowers so there probebly wasn't time for precise manufaturing (as they made the motors and everything up until the late 90's).

I am not sure wheather to get a new motor or new cleaner, not sure yet.

Alex.

So is it use-able or not? I mean, I know it would be really loud, but does it still 'vacuum'?

It does but...

alexhoovers94's profile picture
It is ear-pearcingly loud and creacks and growns a lot although it doesn't lean :)
I also said it was sun bleached, well, I wasn't making it up, lol. :p
