Today I got a mint condition 1998 Hoover Windtunnel Supreme vacuum from the Vac Shop for 40 dollars. It is such good condition. Barely any scuffs, nothing that won't come out. It is also very shiny. It also has all of the attachments. Works very nicely.
I was also watching old home videos at my grandparents house and got some snapshots of my grandma's old Power Center, and me using it with the hose attached. There was some of the Kenmore Canister as well, but I didn't bother taking pictures.

Thats the W/T I bought from Sears in 1997 when I worked there, and thats the Power Center I been trying to find. My cousin had that one your using and I had the blue one with the stretch hose. I liked the solid hose it was almost the same length as the stretch and it didnt tip the vac when you used it lol. YOu shoulda got the canister too =( just kiddin. Did you share that hose with your playmate in the 3rd pic mr.?lol

Old vacuum stores....

Sometimes older vac repairmen will spray a used machine with clear lacquer in order to make it shiny. Watch out for those machines that are sprayed, after about a year it starts to look awful

Trust me, he did not spray this, hahahaha. He just makes sure the vacuum works then he puts it on the floor. Pathetic..
