well I found this one and slammed on it as quick as possible, the week before last I was searching the North Canton Ohio craigslist and searched Hoover, to find an ad saying "antique Hoover" I clicked on it and there was a hoover 700... immediately I contacted the seller to find out that his father worked in the hoover factory, and acquired many parts for the machine and has kept it well maintained throughout the years, he said that there were 2 cloth bags, one with orange lettering and another with white lettering, both bags "brand new" an extra beater bar, handle with switch etc... well he shipped it right out to me and in the boxes were the Handle with original plug and cord, a box with carbon brushes, bearings, switch, handle, brand new original brush strips, brand new height adjuster, rivets, and a belt pulley, the motor unit with original Brushroll in the machine, and some other odds and ends. I was so excited to find all of this in the box and I began to get "goosebumps". this has been by far one of the best finds I have come across, and what makes it even more special is that it came from a worker of the Hoover Factory.

there will definitely pics to follow

Amazing Find, Mike!

Looks like it even has the original plug, and they're hard to find! And the extra parts and the fact that it was owned by a former Hoover employee are frosting on the cake!
Congrats,
Jeff

nice hoover

Hi Mike

that was A great find. all the extra parts is a +
the brush roll is for a newer model like a model 28, its hard to see the end caps it may be for a 26, but eather way it will work on the newer models just change the shaft and end caps.

thank you all for the great compliments, I am loving the machine and since it came with NOS original brush strips and the brush strips in the brush roll are really good I think this machine will get a little bit of use. it was a great purchase and I shared it with you guys because I knew it would be something that you all would enjoy.
