This past weekend is one I live for all year. The small community of Clifford Ontario, has a town yard sale.
It is the best and only yard sale I go to all year. I was up at 6am. It is just like Christmas. The sale started at 8am. I was the first one there. It wasn't the nicest day to start out with, but did clear up. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot, I saw it. Look closely to the left of the guy in red. It was calling my name.

There is more. The Kirby Home Freshener helps remove 'embarrassing odors'. It claims to smell like 'lemon'.
After all these years, it smells more like 'Old Lady'

A few more treasures in the box. When you think of a hair dryer, you automatically think of a De-Mother

Here it is. I have never seen one before. I don't think you really need to tie it under your chin. The elastic cuts right into your head.

A lifetime of cone filters. Now I just need to find a Filter Queen.

More good stuff. My grandmother had a clock like this, only in green. Too bad a bit of the face got chipped off. It is made in Germany and on the back is written, December 23 1938.
I know a jewller that can fix this up, no problem.
I had to have the 'Iola Boiland', watermellon pot holders. Love the show, Mama's Family.
Mama's cousin from Atlanta, was going to get Iola's little watermellon potholders in a chic boutique

In the 70's, it was a big night when mom bought us a barrel of Humpty Dumpty chips. Friends of mine kept their Lego in the barrel. I had to have it. It came loaded with ribbon. Very cool stuff. You have to wet it first to stick to packages.

I bought this just for the box. The toy itself is really cool and still works. I am sure it must have put a few eyes out. The missels really fly.

When you save a vacuum, the skies clear and a bolt of sunshine appears.

Hello Brian,

Pull the emtor base 'firmly' but straight, away from the motor base pan.

Hope this helps.

Cheers & hagd all,

Bill

Pretty darn nice pile of crap, Brian; I heartily approve. LOL

Cool Rocket Missile Launch Base!

While not exactly the same thing, on Sunday I went to the Stratford Railroad Heritage Days exhibit at the new 'almost impossible to find' Stratford Rotary Complex. They placed it in the north of the city at the junction of two winding suburban streets - one way in-one way out. From the neighboring streets you can see its two story height roofs and corner towers from a block away but you can't find a lane or driveway to get there. But I did, at last. :-) Among all the newer modelers kits and cheesy plastic Lionel and HO & N I 'discovered' one vendor who had 3 Gilbert American Flyer S-gauge aluminum streamliner cars from 1950-52 under his table - you can imagine my whoop of joy at spotting them before someone else did! I also bought two out-of-print photograph books all about St Marys and area.
I'll start another thread about the History exhibit and Model Trains and Layouts show...
Dave

Thank you, William. The bag came right off. After a bath in Tide and a hang on the line, the bag should smell great.
