Totally subjectional of course, as beauty is in the eye of the beer holder,,err,,ahh, beholder,,but what vac always impresses you as the prettiest, or most beautiful to look at,,reguardless of functionality? Assuming they are brand new, or in brand new A1 condition, id have to say the Electrolux Golden J/Super J,,,the dark chocolate brown and chrome Filter Queen with Chrome PN, and the Kirby Tradition. Again, assuming they are in totally flawless condition with mirror finish chrome. I like the looks of the Kirby Classic and Classic Omega all shined up too. There is also something beautiful about the Kirby Dual Sanitronic 50,,when it is in brand new condition and buffed out to a mirror finish. Has anyone ever seen a DS 50 with the gold plating? Think i heard once that Phyllis Diller had one,,and gave it away,,i think to Stan the vacuum man? Not sure on that. I bet that was one beautiful machine when it came from the factory. I can see the beauty of the chrome Hoovers of the 1930s, especially the larger commercial models. (Sorry i dont know the Hoover model numbers of that era very well,,was one called a 913?) If you had to pick just ONE vacuum as THE MOST BEAUTIFUL of ALL,,which would it be? Id have to say the Electrolux Golden Jubilee. (in brand spanking new condition of course) |

I have to say the Golden J too because its unlike any other color of Electrolux.(aside from the golden Model L) The model G is on my list of the prettiest. The brown Electrolux Olympia for some reason dosent do much for me in the looks department. I guess it just looks kinda dark and dreary. What machine do you consider the ugliest? Again, totally subjectional,,but i think any machine painted black or has a totally dull brown finish is ugly. Makes it look like something you DONT want to mess with,,much less drag out of the closet and push around the house. I'll bet some of those old black or painted dark machines looked like total torture to the average housewife or whoever had to drag it out and use it. I remember a shoe store we used to go to when i was a kid,,they had a 1960s, early 70s commercial hoover sitting in the corner by the window,,all black with a black bag and black trim. I was affraid of it! |

The pretteyest is a new chrome hood metal F&G eureka...... The uglyest is a toss up betwixed the first kenmore lifestyle, and a silverking canister. Just my opinion Jason |

A friend reciently sent in a Kirby Tradition for a Factory Rebuild, WOW,,it was absolutely STUNNING when it came back. Wish i would have taken a pic. I have to agree a Tradition in A1 Brand New condition like that is beautiful. Something about all that shiny chrome with the dark blue is just awsome. |
