Hi all,
Last month i found out that a friend of the family had a compact C8 that she bought new when she first got married in the late 70's. Well of corase i asked her if she stll wants it, and she said I could have it. Its in very nice shape she atleast took care of it. Now the qestion I have is.... Phillip Muller has this same compact excpt for a couple diffrences. His compact has a twotone gold label on the power head, as mine has gold and black. His has a self contained hose, mine has a suction only hose with suspeners for the power head cord. Could my compact be a erlier version than phillips? Or is mine some rare fluke machine?

any help would be nice!
Jason

You have a model C-8 , which was the first gold model in 1976.
The following model C-9 had an electric hose and a gold labeled power head and more powerful motor.
The attachments on the C-8 were off white and the C-9 a speckled gold. All in all they are wonderful cleaning machines!

Happy Vacuuming!
Tania
