while back i asked a question for a friend about his hoover. took it to vac store and it sounded way different when he got it back. vac store went out of business after it was *fixed*

so, he opened it up and there was a eureka motor with some rust on it, only 2 screws and globs of silicone sealer holding the motor in place. he ordered a guardsman motor, the 4 screws lined up perfectly and now it again has that low hoover growl.

guess the guy was going out of busines and just did a bojack job on it.

That's unbelievable...

I realize this thread is dated, but how could you manage to fit and hold a Eureka motor on a Hoover cleaner!?
