was at walmart tonight, they are changing up the vac section. there was a new bagless vac i thought at first glance was a dyson.
it was a new hoover windtunnel air, its falls in size between a stick vac and a fullsize upright.
it looks like the VAX that has been out in the UK for last year or so.
nice looking vac, but walmart chains the vacs to the wall so you cant check them out better ( ok play with them )

Like any other "modern" vac, interesting, and interested to hear about how it performs (or doesn't).
yeah I didn't learn about the stores chaining there vacs to the wall til I wanted to pull one down and have a real look at it...

Looks an awful like the VAX Jack Copp has, he said it was a decent cleaner

Saw this the other night...

Didn't seem to be anything but over-priced to me. I'll take me $80 Dyson DC18 anyday!

I have looked at Walmart.com and in store and its not here yet, I do kind of like it. Jack had done a video for his and it looked like it groomed the carpet well and picked up good also. I wonder if its still as good now as it was when new? 200 bucks seems to be alot for such a plasticky vacuum, unless its a really good vacuum. The attachments look pretty useless like most these days.

My mum has the Vax Mach Air

However, on this Hoover version, the hose has a different layout. The hose has been re-routed to the agitator cavity and Windtunnel ducting employed. There appears to be an extension hose supplied as standard (stored on the left of the machine when operating the hoover).

Mum's Vax has its short hose routed around the back of the machine, between the rear wheels. The dirt channel in the floor head branches into two smaller channels in the agitator cavity.

I found that the cleaner was okay on 80/20 wool/nylon carpet, but was skipping on low profile looped acrylic carpet. So I popped out the two small rollers that were situated immediately behind the agitator cavity. Problem solved. It picks up quite a lot of dirt for a lightweight machine.

I've just realised that Vax have addressed the comments about short hose and flex. The machine in your link is a new variant:

No.1 machine was orange and grey
No.2 was fuschia and grey with a mini-turbo brush
No.3 purple and grey with longer hose and flex, and turbo brush.

I was at Walmart yesterday and they had 2 of them. Id hope they work good for a 200 dollar piece of plastic lol. It looks like TTI is trying to give Dyson a run for thier money lol. But I bet Dyson is made a bit better. Mabe Jack could clearify.

its close in price by 10 bucks to the platinum stick vac, the hoover has a charger and does not use a cord and. . .

its sold in the uk as a vax brand, jack did a vid on it look for *vintagehoover* on youtube.

look at the design, they kind of look the same

thanks for the info rolls rapide
