Lucky bugger! Brushrolls are so easy on those, had one at work, changed them yearly, didn't even need a tool.

What kind of person would donate that?

Uninformed and careless relatives of a deceased loved one, methinks.

More importantly, who the **** prices something like that? Geeez.

Most Thrift Store back and front room employees I encounter wouldn't know the difference between a Sebo and a Dirt Devil. And I find prices are a regional and economic neighborhood thing. They can vary from one side of town to the other side of the tracks. To them, it's just another plastic vacuum.

Well done, Hans.

SUPER FIND-GREAT PRICE!!Had to pay more for one like it from a Kirby trade in pile.Had to change the brushroll in mine-takes but a couple minutes.Fascinating vacuum-the electronic auto height adjust-have a transparent dealer demo model-shows how the mechanism works.

Hans,

I am coming down and rub your head for good luck!

That is an awesome find!

It truly doesn't surprise me, a new brush is all she needs...but it would not clean very well in that condition...most people would just throw it out...thinking it can't be repaired.

Probably replaced it with some Wally World bagless thingy and now think it (the Sebo) wasn't doing it's job to start with...LOL

Wow, what a price for such a fabulous machine. Such luck! My goodwill was trying to sell a beat up Legend 2 for 300 dollars!

I think part of your luck is that no one knows what a Sebo is really, unless you own one. Everyone knows what a Kirby is and thinks its priceless. The sad thing is that usually if I see a Royal, they priced it like a kirby too.

I found this on Youtube, the clear one is cool, I wonder how much they cost.

I bought my Clear Sebo from the local Sebo dealer-Greenville Vacuum and sewing. It was the same price as any other-but there is a limited quantity of the clear models made at one time.Originally they were a dealer only item for the dealer demo. Then customers liked them so they are now offered for sale. The Clear Sebos are an excellent addition to any vacuum cleaner collection.

The funny thing is!!!!!

There is a Sebo dealer not 1/2 mile down the road from this particular Goodwill, which is actually 2 stores,a regular Goodwill store and a " Outlet" which amounts to bins full of junk, that is where the Sebo was?????go figure, last time I was there I found a ratty turquoise model G, got it for 3.00 for parts, good motor etc.

Nice find!

Like you, I've had a bit of good luck with the thrift stores as well ... in '05, for example, I found a Windsor Sensor SR12 -- which was made by Sebo and looks just like yours -- for $6.00, marked down from $12 'cuz the store was going out of business and was having its final sale that day.

And then, there was this fine specimen that I got from the local Salvation Army for $7.99 ...

Once again, congratulations!

Bill W.
