Hi I had a customer come in the other week who keeps getting static shocks off her Dyson DC14 handle. Any one else ever experianced this before?

Thanks

No

Never happened to me before. Probably least prone to static would be my metal Sanitaire, since it's metal is grounded through the cord.

Yeah I have had it happen before...

I find using hand cream before vacuuming stops it.

the only time I got shocked by the dyson is back when we were in kansas and the winters there are incredibly dry, but since moving to iowa that has stopped.

Yes!

I get it too from my DC15. It usually happens when I brush my other hand near the extension tube hidden in the handle, when hoovering carpets in the usual upright mode.

I was wondering if the clear-bin transferred an electrostatic charge to the aluminium extension tube.
