I have a "vintage" Miele s 238i, that I use regularly. Today the hose split. It has an unusual hose with 3 prongs and a speed control (for suction and brushroll) on the handle.

I see online a hose with a 3 prong connection, however it costs $140! I do love my vacuum, but that's too steep.

I'm hoping someone here may have a used one or can point me in the right direction to an affordable one.

That specific model was my dream Miele for years until I finally got one off eBay. Sadly I put close to $300 in parts into the poor thing to get it to be useable, but its in great shape. I think the wholesale on the hose for that machine (you can still get them new) for like $110. I guess to me it was worth it since I consider it sort of my prized Miele.

That hose looks

similar, just not with the speed control. I'll have to take a look to see if I can remove the handle from the hose. The auction states that the "pigtail does not work". Makes me wonder if there may be a break of the wiring in the hose itself?
