Ok so I have gone a bit mad of late and added a few more finds to the collection...

Really happy with the GE upright and the Sensotronic Tropic.....

Also picked up a Sensotronic Audio300, Senior Commercial C1310, Gray Convertible/DAM U5074, Super Sprint SC252 and a Portable....and a couple of later uprights...

the GE

I love this GE we them in Australia during the 70's in cream, this one is from Jeff in US ..... think the model number is U7 ? hard to find the rating information on the machine...It's so light, no weight in it at all....

......in great condition came with the manual also, really pleased with this find as the one I have back in OZ is not in the best shape...

French made Convertible U5074....

Like the gray colour now if I could just find the holy grail of Convertibles the burgundy one

Some nice finds there, Mark. I really like the color of the upright in the back...the blue-gray one.

Nice =). I really like the Convertible and the GE. It would be great if you were able to find the burgandy Convertible, it such a classy looking color. To bad they didnt have those here.

Or Convertable as we knew it in the UK.

The Burgandy and Pumpkin models are Mike King's the Powerdrive is mine - to cross reference to another current thread I picked it up from the side of the road late one night - brings a whole new meaning to the term "kerb crawling" LOL

Actually, as far as the UK is concerned it is a snapshot of the Dial-a-matic life, the Pumpkin being the first model we had (1967?), the Powerdrive being the only version of this type we had (1977) and the Burgandy (1989) the last, a short run several years after the model had been replaced by the Concept 1

Hey Al,

Thanks for the pic, just love the color of the burgandy model. Here a pic of the last Australia made DAM, Convertable or as we called them in OZ the Dynamatic....

We had three OZ made non powerdrive models
1124 Orange
1124A Orange
and the below one I can't remember the model number ??

We also had the US made DAM drive in blue and orange U6033
